FYI: The Clara Muhammad School System

is over 90 Years young and its Mission of Education Excellence still continues today.

The right to Home School your children in America was fought and won in the late 1920’s by African American mothers in Detroit Michigan. The School’s Founders,  Mrs Clara Evans Pool aka Sister Clara Muhammad wife of Elijah Muhammad and mother of Warithudden Deen Muhammad was the Change Agent and all while  under the threat of her children being removed fro  the home if she did not return them to school. She refused and other mothers as well and they begin to “Home School” their children. It was her son who made the name change to honor his mother who Supported the Schools until her death.

Name Change: from the University of Islam to Sister Clara Muhammad School and later the Sister was dropped. Clara Muhammad School are located throughout the US and in Bermuda.

CMS traditionally are Elementary & Secondary Private Schools open to the public.

For over 90 years the C.M. School system have served communities with large and disadvantage  people of color.
